About us

Hi, my name is Rinda (first name Beatrix). About 40 years ago I married a farmer from the Cederberg and moved to the mountains. I learned how to make soap and I loved it as much as I loved my new fynbos surroundings. As some of these fynbos plants having medicinal properties, making soap with these extracts was an obvious next step.

The Cederberg region is known for its incredible natural beauty, and one of the most unique features is its fynbos. This vegetation type is characterized by a diverse range of shrubs and plants that are endemic to the Western Cape of South Africa. Some of the amazing fynbos species found in the Cederberg include the rooibos plant, bloublomsalie, wild malva and kapokbos to name a few. It is also home to the king protea, which is the national flower of South Africa, as well as the spectacular snow protea.

I take my inspiration from the natural beauty of the Cederberg and the incredible fynbos vegetation that grows here. Part of our ethos is to incorporate sustainable practices into our business and source our materials locally wherever possible. By choosing our products and services, you are not only supporting a local business but also contributing to the conservation of this beautiful region.
